I have gone through many portfolio sites in the past 5 years, and as always,
I am always trying new things. This is my most recent portfolio, under a new
branding that is easier to remember and work with.

Please give me an honest critique, good or bad. I appreciate anyone who can
take the time to help me out with a good review. I will do my best to make
any changes that I can to improve the website overall (in terms of design or
coding). Just let me know what you think, and if the function of the website
works. Obviously, being a portfolio website, I am encouraging people to hire
me for design projects. So in all honesty, would seeing this one-page site do
it for you? Let me know.

That is some gorgeous work Tim.

A couple of things came to mind immediately.

1) There is a lot of wasted space in the initial viewport. I understand it's probably your intention for a "clean" look, but I think it's a little too much space. For the kind of work you do, the header is a little boring!

2) Maybe some sort of list of the types of GUI's you can design.

3) Links to the sites you have designed. Potential clients will certainly want to browse some of the sites you have created.

All in all you have the benefit that your talent alone may get a user the hit the contact button, but as far as the site itself, it's a little too simple for me.

I'm not a big fan of 1 page sites. Either there is too much put on the page and it looks cluttered, or there's not enough to give the user the info they desire. You could still keep your site clean and simple with 3 pages.

Did I say you do great work?

The site is good with good colour layout and navigation . However the header is too large. The tag line is good and well communicated.

I think the website does a good job at presenting your work in a way that gives focus to your design skills, and then complements that with a good sales message and decent call to action.

Great portfolio site.

As for the work itself, it's definitely beautiful, but it seems like you focus too heavily on the wrapper of the site and not enough on the design of the content, which is arguably more important. Keep up the good work!

Second time I clicked it, it worked properly, though... check your HTML.

You have to wait for the page to load before clicking on the contact button.

I am trying to find a way to not show the contact button until the page is fully loaded, but I can't find much out there.

I figure that 99% of users will wait until they view the website before trying to contact me anyways. Plus I provide a mailto link in the green box right under that in case they are confused any just want to email me directly instead.

Just fix it. It'll be a good learning exercise to figure out the problem, anyway...
