resolution problems

I'm just beginning to put togther a site

www.student.brad.ac.uk/majenkin

However, when it's viewed in screen res 1024 or above it looks fine, but any less and it looks ****, as in u can only see the top 1/4 - 1/2 without having to scroll. If i scale it down to suit 600 res then it looks too small in high res!!!!!!

Some sites i've seen 'shrink' or 'grow' to the default screen res on load, does anyone how this is done?

Or know of any other ways round it. Basically so it looks good in all screen res.

Cheers

MattJ

Considering you're using mostly images you don't have much choice.

It looks like it could come close to fitting with 800x600...
