This is my layout for my skateboarding movie homepage, before I go any further, Ide like to have some suggestions, thanks.

Ok, here is the basic idea. I am open to critisization.

messed up on the seasons, when you put your mouse over the dropdown menu, it should turn black instead of white, but you get the idea

Looks nice zero, here's a few suggestions:

1. I like the banner, it looks cool. I think sharpening the text you have in there may make it look better. Keep it the color you have, because it matches the other colors you have in the banner. That is, unless the text color is white and it looks darker because it's blurred alot.

2. I like the mouseovers, but they're hard to read. Consider changing the text's color to white, or something else upon mouseover.

3. The seasons button is a different color, but that may be by design. Also, I'll hold off commenting on the drop down menu, because that still seems to be in progress.

No major problems with it zero, I like what you have so far. Keep us posted w/ updates!

Added a few new things, and fixed all of the buttons in the navigation, and the drop down menu is much better. I made a little better layout that fills the screen a bit more. The middle is a bit wordy, but it was just to get it up and show what Ive done so far, not the best, but I impressed myself. ok, time for the naked truth, how is it.

The "For the Love" text is brigher, i'd keep going and make the R.I. Skateboarding text in the banner the same style, just to see what it looks like. May be a keeper, may not.

Also, the dropdown menus are hard to catch. The menu appears in the middle of two buttons, and it took me a few tries before the menu stayed down when I moved my mouse off the button and down on the menu.

I like the text box you have, unless you have more plans for the right side of the page, expand the text box all the way right.

I like the banner and nav that you have, it looks really cool. The mouseover text is still hard to read, but otherwise, looks good.

You're makin progress, keep at it! Also, listen to what others have to say...contrary to the title under my name, I'm not God! just someone offering constructive criticism.

The text box is a little better, the left side has a cleaner look, and the "seasons" mouse-over dropdown menu stays longer.

you should have text for the main text, its quicker and can be seen by search engines other than that it is good, apart from the triangles on the left side are a bit fuzzy

The dropdown is better, only thing that would improve it now would be lining it up with the word seasons.

Hmm.. Ok, I can fix that, and the triangles, but what do you mean by text on the main text. I dont understand what you are saying.

Your main text box is made up of an image with text typed into the graphic. Search engines can't index this, and users can't select this to copy/paste it.

Question: Is there any way to put quicktime videos onto my site in Fireworks?

You'll probably want to import the video in using a regular HTML editor. Maybe you could use Dreamweaver?

OT: I'm glad to see a fellow skater here! I skate myself, all the time. Of course its been so darn cold here in Minnesota! but today its atleast 60 degrees, yesss. So what can you do and how long have you been skating?

Edit-LOL, i just saw the graphic for the 'Rookies' film. I'm making one called 'Amateurs' small world eh?

Hey thats awesome man. Ive been skating for about 2 years, yeah I live in rhode island, and today it snowed! Ahh it was horrible, we havnt been able to skate all winter. (sorry guys, i know im getting offtopic) I just started again this passed week. My name is chris hatch - so check out the photos on my site, and you can get a good idea of what I can do. To view the link you have to Register -- ok, This is a fireworks design question. I know how to create the background, which is the black and white fold design, with an airbrush boarder, but how do I get the grid in the background? Help.

Yup, same thing happend here, i was all pysched to go up to my local spots and it snowed, arh. But thats what I get for living in Minnesota.

Regards to the fireworks question- I'm not sure if i understand what you saying. Are you saying that the Grid is on a different layer, rather than the background. Please ellaborate.

I can only see the layout out of all of those.

Fate- I fixed it, I found out how to do it. i just had to do an airbrush boarder with a faded grid background with feather edge. I got it, thanks. And zach, what are you saying? I am not even close to done, Im still working on the layout.

Now.. I want to create another layout for my riskate homepage right when I finnish that layout! This is so irritating.

Question for uploading fireworks files. Do you have to upload everysingle file!?! It is a pain. Is there an easier way?
